The AFL-CIO and affiliated local Anchorage unions are hosting a Potluck and Food Drive tonight in the IBEW Union Hall starting at 5:00pm. (3333 Denali St #200, Anchorage, AK 99503)
This event will benefit Federal Workers that are working without pay or have been furloughed do to the federal government being shut down. Like many of us, these workers are at the mercy of political winds and their lives are being severely impacted. Please take a moment after work to bring some non-perishable food items or freshly cooked food so that our fellow workers can rest a bit more easily tonight.
